What is Gelato? 

Gelato in Italian literally means "frozen", but it is basically used to indicate the Italian type of ice cream.

Although Gelato  is often referred to as Italian Ice Cream, Gelato does not contain any cream!   Our Gelato does not contain any butterfat, so it is lower in fat and calories per serving versus traditional style ice cream. 

Nucci's offers a variety of flavors including traditional flavors such as chocolate, vanilla, stracciatella, and strawberry.  Our milk based gelatos contain 4 to 7% fat content per serving. Our fruit flavors are made with water, sugar, and pureed fruits.  The fruit flavors contain less than 1% fat per serving. 

Nucci's Gelato is made directly on the premises in small batches.  The smaller sized batches help eliminate any excess air from being introduced into the Gelato.  This is what gives Gelato its smooth and creamy texture.  The dense smooth, and creamy texture helps enhance the natural flavors of the Gelato.
